The kitchen, as the workshop of the home, also serves as a central gathering place for its residents—therefore, it must be suitable for a living room environment. My goal was to combine this desired aesthetic with proven functionality. The images show various steps from my concept phase and, ultimately, a final model in which the sink is concealed by a sliding cover that also functions as a drying rack.

Die Küche als die Werkstatt der Wohnung, ist ebenso zentraler Treffpunkt der Bewohner und verlangt somit Wohnzimmertauglichkeit. Mein Ziel war es, diese gewünschte Optik mit altbewährtem Nutzen zu vereinen. Die Bilder zeigen Schritte während meiner Konzeptphase und schließlich ein Abschlussmodell, bei welchem das Becken durch eine Jalousie verdeckt und zudem als Abtropffläche genutzt werden kann.
